The white noise of ignorance blasting through
so loud it feels like a physical barrier crushing me
that drowns out my soul and every thought.
Ears bleeding, I flee into the night.

The bitter cold soothes my churning rage
against a world without logic or justice.
I could just end it here, fall asleep in the snow
and drift away.

I just wanted to explain it all and keep it oh so simple
May you live in kinder times.

Cursed with knowledge that refuses to be shared.
A rogue planet spinning through the void.
Breathtaking loneliness, I cannot reconnect.

But this time will be different,
now the rules have changed,
the problem's too great to be ignored.
Realisation dawns,
disbelief cast aside,
the clutch of dread drags you down.
Will we emerge from the other side unscathed..?


A mindless explosion of sound, I am reduced to crawling
on the margins of a world disintegrating around us,
as you pretend and scream in denial,
I shall be here waiting.
